Welcome to Year 3!
Above you will find everything we will be learning about this year and some of our Autumn term overviews.
We are continuing our History Topic of the Stone Age - Iron Age and looking at what pre-historic means. Most recently we have been looking at Skara Brae and Stonehenge and all the questions we would like to find out.
In Science we have been looking at Forces and how magnets work!
The Legend of Podkin One-Ear
Our class book as been a great hit! We have been looking at descriptions and how Kieran Larwood describes Scramashank and then we created some artwork with Charcoal to show our interpretation.
We had a lovely day learning how to felt and create some special work in the style of Ted Harrison. Thinking about the different contrasting colours and how to make them 'pop'.
Monday 18th November
We lit our candle for the 1st Sunday of Advent today
Year 3 had a fantastic time participating in the U Dance festival at The Carnegie Theatre in Workington! Well done Year 3 - we are very proud of you!
We enjoyed using the new software on the ipads!
In our science lesson we created our own questions to investigate using lots of different size magnets and paper clips.
Everyone enjoyed this work and lots of discussions took place!
